BGMI 2.9 Update Leaks: New Features, Modes and More

Since the unban of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) in May, the game has introduced several major updates. Each update had events based on a theme. The 2.8 had some amazing events and the Royale Pass which was based on the Sunshine Delight Theme. Fans are waiting for some information regarding the next update as the current 2.8 update will soon be over. In this article we will talk about the 2.9 update and some of the new features.

BGMI 2.9 Update Leaked Features and Modes

According to leaks by a Youtuber named Gravity Falls Gaming, the 2.9 update in BGMI will bring back the winter theme mode. The map of Erangel will be seen covered in snow with several small villages being placed around Rozhok, School and Hospital which will contain loot and rewards. Players will be able to travel from one village to another with the help of a zip line connecting the villages. The update will also feature the A3 Royale Pass based on the Freaky Fiesta theme. It is anticipated that the update will be made available in the second week of November.

These are some of the features that can be expected in the 2.9 update:

• Winter Theme.

• DMRs such as Mini 14 and SKS can be used in auto mode.

• Special Santa Drop (AirDrop) which will contain special loot. 

• Vehicle Garage.

• Vehicle Tire Trail.

• Sock Puzzle in some locations on the map which will grant different kinds of loot.

• A Snow Launcher which can be used to make yourself or the enemy a snowman.

• A Reindeer which can be used to travel from one place to another.

• Mini POI(1) Near Hospital.

• Mini POI (2) Near School.

• Mini POI (3) Near Rozhok.

• Each Mini POI (point of interest) will have Christmas Trees. Players can shoot the gifts hanging from the tree to get level 3 loot.

The introduction of auto mode for DMRs is the most important one to notice in the 2.9 update. Similar to the M164A, players will be able to use the auto mod attachment on the DMRs to use them in full auto mode. It will be interesting to see if the damage of the weapons is reduced as DMRs work on single taps and deal high amounts of damage.
