After a long hiatus of nine months, BGMI made a triumphant comeback, reigniting the excitement for the game and its renowned esports tournaments, including the BGIS and BGMI Master Series.

The inaugural edition of BGIS, held in 2021, mesmerized players with its impressive prize pool of 1,00,00,000 INR and the chance to compete in the prestigious PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021. Originally planned as a series of tournaments, the ban on the game abruptly halted Krafton's efforts to continue with the BGIS.

BGIS Season 2 Speculations and Hints

However, recent discussions suggest that the long-awaited BGIS Season 2 might finally be on the horizon, delighting fans. Despite maintaining secrecy about the status of the tournament, Krafton, the developer of the game, hinted at the possibility during the BGMI Rising Launch Party, featuring 256 creators and a significant prize pool of INR 10,00,000. The tournament garnered considerable attention, attracting a peak viewership of approximately 148K viewers.

Notably, during the live stream of the event on Krafton India's esports channel, caster Piyush "SpeRo" Bhatia engaged with fans, displaying a cue card bearing the BGIS logo. This subtle gesture heightened excitement among fans who eagerly await the imminent disclosure of detailed information regarding BGIS.

Moreover, prominent figure Naman "Mortal" Mathur, known in the industry, took to Instagram to share a photo holding a cue card with the updated logo "BGIS 2023." This revelation piqued the curiosity of fans as the last BGIS tournament occurred in 2021, suggesting the likelihood of a new season in progress.

To add to the mounting anticipation, Kaushal "Ksr07" Rajput, an esports athlete of the Hydrabad Hydra's BGMI lineup, disclosed during a recent live stream that an announcement regarding BGIS Season 2 is expected before the end of June. He further revealed that registration would follow shortly after the announcement.

With these exciting developments and insider hints, fans are eagerly awaiting the official announcement and commencement of BGIS Season 2, which promises to deliver intense competition and captivate enthusiasts once again.
