Astra Academy Wins PMPL 2021: South Asia Championship
There were doubts concerning how the Mongolian PUBG Mobile team Astra Academy would perform at the event, considering that they had qualified for the event through the PUBG Mobile Club Open (PMCO) - Spring Split 2021: Wildcard. However, the performance they put up has cemented their position as the best in the region. Here is a quick look at Astra Academy's journey through the PMPL 2021: South Asia Championship.
Day 1
With six games being played each day across a period of four days, teams had to be consistent as it was easy to lose balance and drop down on the points table spiraling out of control. Right off the bat Astra Academy took the lead with a Chicken Dinner in the first game on Erangel.
The team continued to put up powerful performances across the next three maps as well, winning two more Chicken Dinners and one runner up finish. However, they crashed hard in the final two games of the day, finishing second on the points table with three Chicken Dinners in total and 98 points to their name.

After knocking DRS down to the second spot, Astra claimed the throne leading comfortably with 180 points to their name.

Day 3
Having dominated the first two days of the tournament, Astra seemed a bit fatigued on day three and this reflected in their lackluster performance. Despite securing another Chicken Dinner on the day to take their tally to a total of five first-place finishes, Astra did not have an overall successful day.
They managed to add just 48 more points to their total on day 3. But with 228 points to their name, they still had a comfortable 42 point lead over their closest rivals Z3US Esports.

In total, Astra Academy had managed to win five Chicken Dinners and 118 kills across 24 games which took place over the course of four days. They maintained a lead of 50 points from the second-placed Z3US Esports.
