Over 1.2 Million Free Fire Accounts Banned by Garena
Garena has issued a report after hitting the cheating community with another huge ban wave. This time a total of 1,225,509 Free Fire accounts have been handed a permanent ban in just the last 2 weeks. Also, 51% of the banned accounts were those that have actually been reported by other Free Fire players.
This goes on to show that the developers are actively monitoring the reports made by the players, checking the reported accounts for any malicious or illicit activities that may damage the matchmaking integrity. 51% of reported accounts actually getting banned proves that the community members are also mostly correct when it comes to reporting suspicious players or accounts.
Further breakdown of the 1,225,509 banned Free Fire accounts gives us detailed information about the reason behind these accounts being handed a ban. ‘Auto-Aim’ is the main reason due to which 75.4% of the above mentioned Free Fire accounts were handed a ban, the other main reasons included ‘Wall Hack’ at 8.9% and ‘Teleport’ at 14.7%. The remaining odd 1% of the banned accounts were categorized under the category of ‘Others’.
Garena had earlier informed Free Fire players to not tolerate any hackers in the game, sending out a clear warning that if they were found teaming up with them intentionally, it would result in a ban for them as well. The developers have definitely kept their word as they punished an additional 24,642 Free Fire accounts, handing them a ban for intentionally playing with hackers.
Apart from this, the report witnessed Garena stating that they have enhanced their anti-hack detection methods while also launching a new ban policy, so as to keep in line with their commitment of delivering a fair and fun gaming experience to all the Free Fire users.
