Apex Legends Mobile is now available to download for a limited number of players in the Philippines. Respawn Entertainment's Apex Legends Mobile, a mobile port of their popular Battle Royale PC game, is in early access and is initially available only in the Philippines and India. Currently, closed beta testing is only available to a small portion of players who pre-registered for the game, but developers have stated that the mobile game will most likely be available globally by the end of 2021. Below are the details of the closed beta test for Apex Legends Mobile in the Philippines.

Apex Legends Mobile Early Access now available in the Philippines

Players from the Philippines can now install Apex Legends Mobile.

After being released in India last month, Apex Legends Mobile will now be available in the Philippines as part of a closed beta test. However, only a select few will receive early access to the mobile game. In the coming months and years, more regions and devices will gain access to the game, and it will eventually be released internationally by the end of 2021.

“We’ll be steadily rolling out Apex Legends Mobile around the world in a series of tests. To start with, we’ll do a series of smaller closed beta tests in India and the Philippines,” The devs stated in their blog post.

Players in the Philippines can check if they have access to the game by visiting the Google Play Store. Only Android devices with Android 9.0 and at least 4GB of RAM will be able to download the game from the Google Play Store. During the closed beta testing period, only a limited number of players will gain access to the game. However, pre-registered players will eventually gain early access as the testing continues.

“We're keeping things small to start—just a few thousand players in India and the Philippines—but over the course of this year we're planning to roll the game out to more regions and more players around the world,” stated the devs.

Apex Legends Mobile Apk and OBB Files “Should Not Be Sideloaded”

Players hoping to download the game to their devices by using third-party APK+OBB files are in for a surprise.

Apex Legends has confirmed that the game will only be available on Google Play Store during their testing period. They specifically mentioned that “the game should not be sideloaded through a third party site or direct APK download.”

Apex Legends Mobile is slowly making its way across multiple regions. It will be interesting to see if Respawn Entertainment can deliver the same quality gameplay experience as the PC counterpart on mobile devices.
