Renekton is expected to be released on May 12, 2021, following the release of Kha’Zix and Rengar in Wild Rift. He is the last champion to be released as announced by the devs in the Dev Diary for Patch 2.2.
Renekton is a fighter-type champion in Wild Rift that is best suited in Baron Lane but can be played in the Jungle or Mid Lane in certain situations. He has pretty high base damage with decent sustain that allows him to survive team fights while continuously dealing damage to enemies around him. The problem is, his abilities are far too simple that it is very predictable and can often put you in a bad situation against experienced players.
Here is a quick look at Renekton’s abilities.
His attacks generate Fury, at maximum Fury, he gains bonus effects on his abilities. The Fury gained is increased when his HP is low.
Swings his blade to deal physical damage to targets around him, and heals for a portion of the damage. If Renekton has more than 50 Fury, the damage and healing value is increased.
Slashes a target twice, dealing physical damage and stuns them. If He has more than 50 Fury, Renekton can slash three times and the stun duration lasts longer.
Dashes in a direction, dealing damage along the path. When at max Fury, his dash will reduce the armor of enemies hit.
Renekton transforms into Tyrant Form, gaining bonus health and dealing damage around him. While in this form, he gains Fury periodically.
Renekton is expected to be one of the easier champions to play in Wild Rift, but thanks to his skill ceiling he is very rewarding to master. It will be interesting to see how he fits into the current Meta in Wild Rift.
