KRAFTON has announced a contribution of INR 15,000,000 ($202,653 USD) to the PM Cares fund via the company’s Indian subsidiary. The contribution was made to solidify India’s efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. KRAFTON stated that it wants to join India in its fight against COVID-19 and provide necessary medical aid, purchase oxygen supplies and extend additional resources to people across the country during the ongoing pandemic. KRAFTON Seeks to Support the Efforts of The Government of India

Commenting on the donation, Changhan (CH) Kim, KRAFTON's CEO, said:

“India is navigating a challenging time with the current wave of COVID-19. We remain committed to supporting the efforts of the Government in battling this unprecedented crisis. We hope our contribution to the PM CARES Fund will help the aid efforts currently operational on ground.”

The INR 15,000,000 ($202,653) is being made to the PM Cares fund (Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations). The PM Cares fund is a public charitable trust where anyone can make contributions.

Earlier this year Krafton’s Head-Corporate Development Sean Hyunil Sohn talked about how important the Indian market is to the company at the India Gaming Conference 2021. The company is still working towards bringing PUBG Mobile back to India. Sohn had stated "I cannot really tell a timing, because we don't know yet. But what I can tell you is that we care about the Indian market greatly and that's why I get to know you and I get to know a lot of friends in the Indian gaming industry. So definitely we will work hard to make it happen.”
