Wild Rift ARAM: Devs Talk About the Upcoming Game Mode

Riot Games is always on the lookout for new ideas on what players enjoy about Wild Rift and how they can further expand this foundation to make the game more enjoyable and rewarding to play. Sheiky further explains that the devs are working on bringing back well-known game modes from the PC counterpart into the mobile MOBA game along with new and innovative game modes.

“It’s safe to say that some things you’ve seen on the PC version of League of Legends will make their way to Wild Rift, but not always in the same form. We’ll be making changes to ensure that new modes feel great on mobile, and we want to put these changes in front of you sooner rather than later,” stated Sheiky.

The dev further explains that instead of releasing a complete and perfect game mode, they want the players to contribute by allowing early access to the new game modes and tell them what works, what the players enjoy, and what’s worth their time. This could mean that some game modes might come more often than others, depending on how much players enjoy it.

This is where the ARAM game mode in Wild Rift comes into play. The game will have its trial run on April 5, 2021, and will last for three days. If the results are satisfactory, the ARAM game mode will return on April 15 and will last for a whole month until May 19, 2021. However, for the trial run, not all of the features are fully supported. Runes, items, loadouts, and a few other areas have not been finalized yet. Players will have to play a simpler version of the ARAM game mode until the game mode is finalized. However, the main features that define ARAM, like re-rolls and Mark/Dash will be included when it’s released in Wild Rift.
