The money in the post was from their personal business.

This lead to a few fans in the MLBB community speculating that the money was from match fixing despite the majority recognizing that it was simply a joke.

The Bren Esports support was quick to remove the post and posted an explanation stating that the money actually came from their personal business with his girlfriend and will be used as payment for their new house. He then proceeds to state that whoever believes that they threw their matches for petty cash are fools.

“To those saying that we threw the game just for money, fools, we didn’t throw the match, we just lack practice,” stated Ribo in his Facebook post

“You guys are fools if you think we throw our games. Are we not allowed to lose?” stated Ribo added in his Facebook post.
