An Among Us inspired COD Mobile game mode has been leaked on the Chinese version of the game. The game mode works similar to the phenomenal mobile game Among Us. This Among Us inspired COD Mobile game mode is called “Werewolf Mode” where players work together and complete tasks while one of them pretends to be an ally and secretly assassinate the rest of the players. Players will have a brief window once in a while to discuss and figure out who is the impostor and vote him out. Not much is known about this new game mode aside from a few leaks posted online. Here is a quick look at the Among Us inspired COD Mobile game mode, “Werewolf Mode.”
Based on the gameplay footage provided by COD Mobile streamer, Zenix, the game mode is called “Werewolf Mode.” The game starts with 12 players scavenging for weapons and ammo around the Meltdown map. These weapons range from pistols to powerful shotguns.
Players need to work together and complete tasks in the game. Some tasks will require players to scavenge materials scattered around the map. Meanwhile, one random player will be tasked with sabotaging and killing other players.
There will be a group meeting in between rounds where everyone discusses and figure out who is the impostor. At the end of each discussion, there will be a brief voting session where players can vote on who they think is the imposter and cast him out of the game. If the players failed to vote out the impostor, the game continues until the next meeting.
This game mode is a breath of fresh air for players who just want less competitive matches. The game is less combat-oriented and more on acting as detectives and figuring out who is the enemy among the twelve players in the game.
This Among Us inspired COD Mobile game mode is only available in the Chinese server of COD Mobile. There is no update on whether the global servers will receive this update soon. Players will have to keep their eyes peeled for upcoming updates from Activision.
