Sunsparks MLBB is finally making a comeback after a year-long hiatus. The esports team was one of the biggest names in the MPL PH esports scene who won the title of champions back-to-back during seasons four and five. The team also won various international tournaments like the Mytel Invitational Championships. With their major comeback, Sunsparks MLBB will be managed by Ralph Andrei “Leathergoods” Llabres, Bren Esport’s head coach with a goal of building a roster with a mix of male and female ML players. Here are more details regarding the return of Sunsparks MLBB in the Mobile Legends esports scene.

Sunsparks MLBB is Building a Mixed-Gender Team

The big announcement was posted on their official Sunsparks MLBB Facebook page on Feb. 14, 2021. Registration is currently ongoing and will last until Feb. 19, 2021. However, the schedule for the tryouts is still to be announced by the organization. 

Here are the requirements for players who wish to join their Mobile Legends team;

  • Committed and disciplined
  • No toxic attitude
  • Sufficient amount of hero pool depending on the ROLE you are trying out for
  • Willing to stay in the boot camp
  • Is OPEN to playing on a mix-gendered team (female + male team composition)
  • Highest Points Reached: 2500 points or 450+ stars (If your account is older)

According to Ralph Andrei “Leathergoods” Llabres, head coach of Bren Esports, the organization is seeking to revive the team and at the same time integrate a mix of male and female players in their team roster. The head coach also implied that they will be rebranding Sunsparks with new uniforms and designs for a fresh new start. 

“Right now we are in the process of making a team that will break boundaries. A team that’s not all-male or all-female.” stated Llabres during an interview with One Esports.

Leather goods also stated that they are planning on venturing to other esports titles like Valorant and League of Legends: Wild Rift in the future.

Sunsparks was one of PH’s powerhouse teams in MLBB. It would be interesting to see if they can continue their legacy after their brief hiatus.
