Wild Rift Patch 2.1: February Schedule

Replay and Spectator Mode

The Replay and Spectator Mode is one of the most requested features for the game. It will allow players to replay their own matches or spectate other players' matches and will prove crucial to the development of the esports circuit.

Replay and Spectator Mode Preview

This feature has already been made available in the game as of today and can be used by every player.

New Champions

To celebrate Valentine’s day, the game will add two the most iconic love birds in the game, Xayah, and Rakan.

These two love birds are inseparable. Although they can be played separately, they gain extra perks if they are played together. Rakan is an enchanter support who can shield allies and charm enemies while Xayah is a marksman that can stun enemies who are within her feather’s reach.

Rakan the Charmer and Xayah the Rebel

Lunar Beast Event

This event will be shared with the PC version. The devs haven’t announced the full details for this event but we can expect some new skins to purchase and free cosmetic items from the event.

Wild Rift Patch 2.1: March Schedule

A total of 4 new champions will be released in March 2021. Definitely, a good month to look forward to if you look forward to experimenting and playing with new champions.

New Champions

The most awaited champion in the game. This mage/assassin reduces her skill cooldowns with each enemy's takedowns. However, her high skill ceiling will keep you practicing for hours to perform that perfect combo.

Katarina, the Sinister Blade will be released in March.

She is a tank support who can stun enemies in a large area and increase her resistance to magic damage. Definitely a good pick against heavy mage teams.

Leona, the Radiant Dawn will be released on March

Another mage/assassin who loves to get up close and personal to her enemies. She can empower her basic attacks and gains a shield when she hits enemies.

Diana, Scorn of the Moon will be released on March.

He resembles a Trojan Warrior. He can leap through anywhere on the map which makes him a perfect Baron or Mid lane champion that can help allies who are far away.

Pantheon, the Unbreakable Spear will be released on March.

Path of the Ascension Event

While not too much information regarding this event has been revealed by Riot Games. According to the lore of the game, this might be an event focused on Leona, the Radiant Dawn, and Diana, Scorn of the Moon featuring the mysterious Mount Targon.

Wild Rift Patch 2.1: Champion Buffs

The Daring Bombardier seems to be quite underwhelming in Wild Rift. .The devs are giving him a small boost to keep up with the current meta.

First Skill: Phosphorus Bomb - from AD ratio: 0.5 bonus AD to 0.7 bonus AD

Third Skill: Gatling Gun - Armor and Magic Resist reduction: from 4/6/8/10 to 8/12/16/20

Ultimate Skill: Missile Barrage

  • Base damage: from 80/95/110 to 80/115/150
  • AD ratio:  from 0.25 at all ranks to 0.25/0.45/0.65
  • Big One base damage: from 160/190/220 to 160/230/300
  • Big One AD ratio: from 0.5 at all ranks to 0.5/0.9/1.3

Jarvan IV

The exemplar of Demacia seems to be having a hard time in the jungle. Hopefully these small buffs would help him contest with the best junglers in Wild Rift.

Base Stats - AD per level: from 3.6 to 4.55

Passive: Martial Cadence - Now deals 20 minimum damage

Combo Skill: Dragon Strike & Demacian Standard dash combo hitbox size: from 2 to 2.5

Ultimate Skill: Cataclysm - Fixed dash speed: from 0.4s to 0.25s

Jax is a strong late-game champion. However, his early-game is way too weak compared to other champions. These changes will help him snowball better in the early stages of the game.

First Skill: Leap Strike

  • Range: from 6 to 6.5
  • Cooldown: from 9/8/7/6s to 7.5/7/6.5/6s
  • Damage: from 55/110/165/220 to 60/115/170/225

The Yordle Gunner seems to be a bit weaker compared to other marksmen in the game. The devs buffed her a bit to help him keep up with the meta.

First Skill: Rapid Fire

  • Attack speed: 30/50/70/90% → 50/70/90/110%
  • Duration: 5s → 7s

Second Skill: Rocket Jump - Base damage: from 60/130/200/270 to 85/155/225/295

Third Skill: Explosive Charge

  • Passive base damage: from 40/70/100/130 to 55/85/115/145
  • Active base damage: from 60/70/80/90 to 65/80/95/110
  • AD ratio: from 50/70/90/110% Bonus AD to 55/90/125/160% Bonus AD

Twisted Fate

The devs felt that Twisted Fate was underwhelming to play, especially in higher ranks. So they are adding a slight boost to his cards.

Second Skill: Pick a Card

  • Blue Card mana restoration: from 50/65/80/95 to 60/90/120/150
  • Blue Card AP ratio: from 0.5 to 0.8
  • Red Card AP ratio: from 0.5 to 0.65
  • Gold Card stun duration: from 1/1.25/1.5/1.75s to 1.25/1.5/1.75/2s

They are making the skill animation for her ultimate skill much faster than before and adding a big damage boost in the late game.

Ultimate Skill: Last Breath

  • Base damage: from 200/300/400 to 200/350/500
  • Animation time: from 1.5s to 1.25s
  • Knock-up duration: from 1.5s to 1.25s

This is just a targeting fix for the champion due to her Second Skill, Void Seeker, not applying Caustic Wounds properly.

Wild Rift Patch 2.1: Champion Nerfs

The most requested nerf of all. The devs have toned him down to keep him from being too powerful in the game.

Base Stats

  • Base AD: from 58 to 52
  • Movement speed: from 335 to 330

Second Skill: Electrical Surge - from Cooldown: 12/10/8/6s to 15/12/9/6s

Third Skill: Lightning Rush

  • Base damage: from 85/140/195/250 to 70/125/180/235
  • AP ratio: from 0.8 to 0.7

Ultimate Skill: Slicing Maelstrom

  • Base damage: from 35/70/105 to 30/60/90
  • AP ratio: from 0.2 to 0.15

Lee Sin

A slight nerf to the Knockback range of his Ultimate Skill, Dragon’s Rage from 7.5 to 6.75.

Wild Rift Patch 2.1: New Features

These changes are small but might be a big impact on every player’s matches.

Ping Display

Added the ability to see your exact latency in-game. No more confusion if you’re internet is stable or not.

Portrait Lock

By popular demand, added the ability to choose the order in which enemies appear when using Portrait Lock.

In-game Chat

The in-game chat settings have been updated. All / Team / Off is now All / Team / Party. The new Party setting allows for premade party chat while hiding chat from other team members.

Summoner Spell Timers

Added an indicator around summoner spell buttons showing exactly how long spell casts like Barrier and Ghost will be active.

Smite Indicator

Added a visual indicator to indicate reduced gold from minions if using the Smite summoner spell.

Wild Rift Patch 2.1: Gameplay Changes

Hand of Baron

When champions with Hand of Baron buff leave minion vicinity, buff linger duration reduced from 10 to 5 seconds.

Rift Scuttler

Rift Scuttlers now spawn similarly to League PC. At the start of the game, two Rift Scuttlers spawn (one on each side of the map), then one Scuttler on either side is randomly spawned thereafter.

Other Notable Changes

  • Increased the amount of Blue Motes in Weekly Activity Chests, and slightly increased Activity Points required to earn the third chest in a week. XP and Poro Coin rewards are unchanged:
    • Chest 1: 120 Activity Points - from 150BM to 250BM
    • Chest 2: 240 Activity Points - from 175BM to 275BM
    • Chest 3: 465 Activity Points (was 400) - from 200BM to 425BM
  • Added the ability to gift recalls, baubles, and emotes.
  • Fixed a bug where reaching account level 10 would remove the Suggested Activities menu.
  • Chests now prioritize granting unowned content first, and if all potential content is owned, Poro Coins can be granted instead. This fixes an issue where chests could not be used if all potential content was owned.
  • Champions earned from leveling up have been removed as potential drops from chests.
  • Adjusted the login flow to ensure that important login popup messaging (like server-status) will not be skipped when using automatic login.
  • On iOS, increased the time before automatic logout when minimizing Wild Rift or locking screen.
  • Refreshed tutorials with more information about lane indicators.
  • Moved hardware/device permission requests from first login to the first time a feature is used. For instance, instead of requesting access to save media on first login, Wild Rift now asks for access for the first time saving media (like sharing on social media).
