Season 13 of CODM is almost at its conclusion. This season offered players a ton of exciting new content for the game, including the EMP system scorestreak and the new weapon, Peacekeeper MK2. Players are already looking forward to the next Season’s content and when it will be released. However, Activision has something else in mind. Instead of going the usual path and releasing Season 14, they plan to refresh the Season number back to Season 1.
According to the community update released on Jan. 15, 2021, Activision announced that instead of continuing to the usual season numbers, they would refresh the season number for 2021.
This means that Season 14 will be named season 1. The devs hope this would be straight-forward as they release an official announcement next week about the upcoming Season 1 contents along with the forthcoming season’s trailer.
The community update also stated that while waiting for the upcoming season, players can enjoy these events that will last until the end of Season 13;
There isn’t much news regarding the upcoming Season’s contents aside from two new guns leaked by data miners. The two new guns are FR 5.56, the game’s version of FAMAS Assault Rifle, and the SKS Marksman Rifle.
Earlier this week, they also released a new game mode in the public test server named ‘Attack of the Undead 20’, a 20 player version of the 10 player game ‘Attack of the Undead.’ This new game mode might make it to the next season.
A new map might also be coming to CODM next Season. The ‘Rebirth’ map was released in the Season 13 test build but was not included in the game’s official Season 13 release. It might make its way into the upcoming Season.
Every new Season marks new and exciting content for players to enjoy. Activision will relay their upcoming content to players within the next few days. Stay tuned for more updates regarding the upcoming Season 1 of CODM.
