Wild Rift Reveals the Battle of Baron YouTube Live Event

League of Legends: Wild Rift has been teasing fans with the “The Battle of Baron,” for the past couple of days. Now the veil has been lifted, revealing more details about the all-new event which promises to reward participants with a unique emote and icon.

The event is similar to “Twitch Plays Pokémon,” where the audience will interact with the game through various commands sent in the chat. The event will take place on 10th December 2:00AM PT on YouTube Live

The Battle of Baron Event Details

On Dec. 10, 2020, players will gather up for the biggest Baron Battle. By tuning in to the YouTube live broadcast, players will be facing against everyone’s most formidable void monster, The Baron Nashor.

Everyone who watches the stream can participate in the battle. The players can interact with Baron Nashor by typing numbers in the chat. Each number from 1 to 4 will have corresponding abilities that will allow you to attack Baron. The gigantic void monster will then respond dynamically to what you do. Of course, just like in Wild Rift, you can’t fight this monster alone. 

The voting system will determine what abilities will be used, so players will need to cooperate and decide how to fight Baron Nashor. Players who wish to participate in attacking Baron Nashor will ideally have to switch to Live Chat Mode instead of Top Chat Mode to see exactly how the votes are progressing.

Special Empowered Attacks

For the fight, certain abilities will be empowered to deal bonus damage. Players will have to synchronize their attacks and look for the right moment to execute the best abilities. The best way to defeat Baron is to band together and attack in harmony to deliver precise blows on the giant monster.

Champions of Runeterra, Assemble! 

Legendary Champions from the game, Legends of Runeterra will also come and lend a hand in fighting Baron Nashor. Players will have to type number 5 in chat to summon them and join the fray.

The Battle of Baron Rewards

Riot Games will reward players who contribute to this legendary battle against Baron Nashor with in-game items. Participants will unlock a new emote and icon in 2021. 

There is also a special bonus for the first 25,000 participants who enter the live broadcast for The Battle of Baron. Riot Games will add their names in the end credits of the live broadcast. These names will forever be engraved with this legendary battle against Baron Nashor.
