Garena Free Fire is famous for collaborating with popular franchises. Earlier this year it collaborated with the popular MMORPG “Ragnarok,” and the crime drama series “Money heist”. Another collaboration is now happening with Garena announcing a Free Fire and Demon Slayer: Mugen Train collaboration event on its Facebook page. This information is only available on the Thai server, it is unclear whether this event will be available for other servers as well.

What is Demon Slayer: Mugen Train?

Demon Slayer is a popular shounen manga and anime in Japan. The plot is set around the Taisho era (1921-1926) and introduces warriors wielding a samurai weapon known as Nichirin to slay demons. It recently premiered its first movie titled Demon Slayer: Mugen Train that continues the story where the anime adaptation left off. The movie is currently screened in selected parts of Asia including Thailand.

The collaboration event is rumored to introduce a famous sword in the movie, Nichirin, as one of the katana skins in the game. Perhaps the traditional haori and kimono worn by characters in the movie will also appear as a bundle in Garena Free Fire.

Unofficial rumours also indicate that 2 weapon skins and a character pack with the Demon Slayer theme will be obtainable during the event. The weapons skins are for the M79 and P90 with a fiery paint job. The skin packs also have a fiery theme in it with a male and female variant.

The partnership was likely to promote the anime in Thailand. Garena also held several events IRL where they would sell merchandise themed around Free Fire and Demon Slayer.

Fans from different regions started asking Garena Free Fire Thailand if this will be available for other servers as well. As of now, no further announcement from Garena has been made regarding the new event.

There are some cases where the contents released on Free Fire Thailand arrived late in other regions. One example would be the XM8 Songkran 2020 and Shadow Wings Backpack which came late in Indonesia due to different policies of the region.
