Dr Disrespect is one of the most popular streamers in the world, who is known for his controversial and exaggerated statements, which sometimes tick people off. Earlier today, the Doc made a Tweet which was targeted toward mobile gaming, bragging about his expensive PC setup and then sarcastically stating: “you have the guts to tell me mobile gaming is a serious thing?”

The mobile gaming community was understandably taken aback by this statement, with popular personalities like Ferg, Elijah Jackson, and XSET Juicy challenging the Doc's opinions.

Dr Disrespect’s Previous Statements About Mobile Gaming

Dr Disrespect is no stranger to talking down to Mobile Gamers and Mobile Gaming, he has previously made controversial statements on his Twitter feed and on his E3 livestream.

In June 2019, the Doc stated that he thought Mobile gamers weren’t real gamers.

Shortly after, in his stream, Dr Disrespect would go on to echo the same sentiment and ended up mocking mobile gamers.

“Mobile gamers aren’t real gamers, lets get that right out of the way,” said the Doc. “Me, I step into a command center, I am sitting at a gaming power machine, that is powering the state of the art, AAA High End graphics games out there.” He then mocked mobile gamers by holding his phone sideways and pretending to be a mobile player sarcastically saying: “You can’t exclude us Doctor, we are real gamers too, I am sponsored.”

The Doc’s Apology For His Comments

However, earlier this year, Dr Disrespect apologized for his comments in a collab stream with Indian PUBG Mobile Pro Player Tanmayak "Sc0utOP" Singh.

“Not sure if you ever saw my tweet, so I just want to get ahead of the controversy, about me saying that mobile gamers aren’t real gamers. It was a spur moment. I just want to make sure that I get ahead of it.”

Following this Sc0utOP laughed it off and said that it’s “completely fine.” It looks like the Doc has gone back on his words, and has regressed back to saying that Mobile Gaming is not a thing, once again.

As with all of his Tweets and comments on social media, it is important to remember that Dr Disrespect is a roleplay-based personality. He made his name by being as over-the-top as possible and making outrageous statements. This eccentric personality is what endeared him to so many fans in the first place. So perhaps we shouldn’t take this statement so seriously.
