  • Blaezi and Sangwan part ways with SouL Esports.
  • This follows Mortal's announcement which stated that he was going to become a 6th player or a mentor for the team.
  • Only Viper and ReGaLToS remain with the team, following these roster changes.

It looks like SouL Esports is undergoing a lot of changes before the eventual return of PUBG Mobile. Following Mortal’s announcement stating that he was going to become a mentor for the team, two other players from the team will also be departing from the lineup. Earlier yesterday, it was officially announced that Sangwan and Blaezi will leave SouL Esports.

Sangwan Departs From SouL Esports

Dhruv "Sangwan" Sangwan made his way into the Indian PUBG Mobile scene, with some great performances with ETG.Brawlers at the PMCO 2019 - Fall Split: South Asia where they secured a 7th place finish.

Sangwan would also play in a few other teams like Fnatic (at PUBG Mobile All Stars India 2019) and VSG.Crawlers before joining SouL Esports for PMPL Spring 2020. With Sangwan, SouL managed to have some decent performances but failed to win any tournament.

Blaezi Officially Departs From SouL Esports

Earlier in September 2020, Varad “Blaezi” Kadtan announced that he was departing from the SouL Esports lineup on his Instagram account after his contract with the team expired.

"I had a great experience while playing and being with you all and learned so much from each of you.Know my heartiest thankfulness for the guidance and support that everyone gave me.

Goodbye and know my best wishes for all of you.

With positive vibes my contract with SouL comes to an end.

Also thank you so much to the soul audience who showered me with their love and support.

Hope you all will continue supporting me.

Thank You."

Blaezi’s popularity amongst the Indian PUBG Mobile audience rose when he debuted with Team Zerodegree in PMCO 2019 Fall Split South Asia Regional Finals. In December 2019, Team Zerodegree was acquired by Marcos Gaming.

He also played with Team Godx in PMIS 2020 Semifinals. Following this stint, his Godx teammate and 8bit Elite member, Mafia, referred him to SouL Esports. He joined SouL Esports in July 2020 as an assaulter and finally departed from the lineup just two months later, in September.

After these departures, SouL Esports current lineup is down to just three players with Mortal acting as a 6th player/Mentor.

Soul Esports Current Roster:

  • Yash Paresh "Viper" Soni - Support
  • Parv "ReGaLToS" Singh - Assaulter
  • Naman "Mortal" Sandeep Mathur - 6th Player / Mentor

SouL Esports is one of the most popular PUBG Mobile organizations in India and experienced a lot of early success winning the PMIS 2019 and PMCO Spring 2019. They had also secured 2nd place finish in PMCO Fall 2019. They were also the first Indian team to secure a “Chicken Dinner” at a global LAN tournament.

They have been unable to replicate the success they experienced in 2019. However, it looks like they’re undergoing some drastic changes to help make their way back on to the top of the Indian PUBG Mobile esports pyramid.
