Free Fire India To Host Official Scrim Matches; Features INR 5 lakh Prize Pool

  • Free Fire India will be hosting official scrim matches every week. 
  • A prize pool of INR 5 lakh has been assigned to the matches. 
  • A Streamer battle is also being organized. 

Free Fire India has announced Free Fire Scrim Wars, which will feature the top Indian teams. The initiative also has a prize pool of INR 5,00,000 attached to it. The games will be streamed live at 6 pm every Tuesday and Wednesday starting on the 28th of April. 48 teams will be a part of these scrim matches, including Entity Gaming, 8bit and more. 

The current lock down declared by the government of India due to the COVID-19 pandemic has put a stop to all official tournament and matches. The Finals of the Free Fire India Championship which was supposed to be held at the end of March, but has been indefinitely postponed. Even PUBG MOBILE's official PMPL matches have been delayed due to the lock down. However, PUBG MOBILE has begun to host official scrims regularly and have seen quite a bit of success with it. Free Fire too seem to have gone in a similar direction. 

Along with the Scrim Wars, Free Fire India is also hosting a Streamers Battle. The matches will feature top content creators and streamers and be streamed live on Thursdays and Fridays at 6 pm. While there isn't any money up for grabs, there is a kitty of 2,00,000 diamonds to keep things competitive.
