Garena Partners With Paytm First Games For Free Fire India Solos 2020 Tournament

• Garena and Paytm First Games have partnered to announce the Free Fire India Solos 2020 Tournament.
  
  
• The tournament will consist of two legs - FFIS 2020 Masters (open participation) and FFIS 2020 Streamer Showdown (48 invited streamers from India).
  
  
• Matches will be livestreamed on Facebook, YouTube and on the Paytm First Games app.

Garena has announced the Free Fire India Solos (FFIS) 2020 tournament in partnership with Paytm First Games. The tournament will take place online from May through June and consists of two legs - Masters and Streamer Showdown, both of which are solo tournaments where individual participants (not teams) can participate. Both tournaments will be conducted using the Battle Cage Mode with upto 12 players per match, competing in a smaller map than Classic mode.

The FFIS Masters will allow anybody to participate, however there will be a minimum in-game level requirement. This restriction is being implemented to prevent hackers and cheaters from participating. Players will first compete in a qualifier round followed by a league stage through which the top 12 teams will progress to the finale. The release sent to AFK Gaming states that the Masters Leg of FFIS 2020 is expected to witness around 20,000 players competing in the qualifier round.

Meanwhile, the FFIS Streamer Showdown will invite 48 streamers from across India to compete against each other in a single elimination group stage format. Streamers will be divided into 4 groups of 12 teams each and the top three teams from each group (a total of 12 teams) will advance to the finale.

Registrations for both legs of the tournament will open in early May. Prize pool, tournament start and end dates and other information will be made available closer to the date. The tournament will be livestreamed on YouTube, Facebook and on the Paytm First Games app.

On April 8th, Paytm First Games announced its entry into Indian esports by teaming up with Supercell to announce a Clash Royale tournament. The tournament claims to have received over 11,000 participants and 70,000 total viewers.
