The North American Mobile Gaming Community united for a good cause to raise money for Australia under the #MobilizeForAustralia initiative. Over 12,000 USD was raised through this initiative as community members and content creators all chipped in to their part, be it to stream or match the donations and help raise the money. The initiative shows the importance of community building and highlights the value that the positive impact that communities can have when working together. The money will be used to support wildlife rescue efforts on the ground in Australia.

The Mobilize for Australia initiative saw players and content creators from across 6 mobile titles stream for charity. They were Clash Royale, PUBG Mobile, Armajet, Fortnite Mobile, Call of Duty Mobile and Brawl Stars. Additionally content creators such as ClashWithAsh, developers such as Super Brit Machine and Mobile Gaming Accessories Manufacturer MGC Gaming matched the contributions in specific titles to add to the kitty.

The initiative was largely organized by Matt Rutledge, also known as MobileMatt, who is the director of Mobile Gaming at Complexity. However, it is fair to say that it was a combined effort by all those who tuned in, showed their support and made a contribution. Speaking about the efforts, Rutledge said “As one of the first efforts designed to bring the entire mobile esports community together, I'm more hopeful now than ever of the future for this community. As more bridges between scenes is built, and more efforts are focused around creating experiences to engage the mobile platform, I am thoroughly convinced that the best is yet to come.”

Matt has informed us that the event was not limited to North America, but included streamers and participants from Europe as well.

Editor's Note: It’s great to see the community come together and raise money for a good cause. Hopefully it inspires other communities across the world to understand the impact and need for building such connections and utilizing them properly. Kudos to everyone involves and a massive shout out for doing the entire mobile gaming community proud.
