The much awaited M1 World Championship for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is set to kick off tomorrow with 16 top from across the world, taking part to prove their mettle. It is the biggest MLBB event in the calendar year and the first year for what is expected to be the landmark event for the title, moving on.
The 16 teams have been divided into 4 groups of 4 teams. Each group will play out a round robin format with each game being a bo3. The top 2 teams from each group will move onto the playoffs. 8 teams will play in the playoffs with the top placed teams starting in the upper bracket and the second placed teams starting in the lower bracket. The semifinals for the upper and lower brackets will be bo5s while the grand finals will be a bo7. All other matches will be bo3s.
16 teams will be in attendance to try their hand at winning the title. For the SEA the majority of the teams have qualified via the country-wise MPLs or MLBB Professional Leagues. For other regions, there have been Regional Qualifiers which has allowed teams to qualify. The following 16 teams will be playing at the M1 World Championship.
Group A - RRQ, EVOS Singapore, VEC Fantasy Main, Impunity KH
Group B - Burmese Ghouls, Axis Esports, Team Gosu, Candy Comeback
Group C - Sunspark, Todak, Evis Esports, Geo Esports
Group D - EVOS Legends, Onic PH, 10S Gaming Plus, Deus Vult
Schedule and Livestream
The group stages will last 4 days, with each group playing out their games in one day each. Group A will play on the 11th of November, Group B on the 12th, Group C on the 13th and Group D on the 14th. The Playoffs will last for 3 days from the 15th to the 17th of November.
