On the 10th anniversary celebration of League of Legends, Riot Games has officially announced that League of Legends is coming to mobile and console. Limited Alpha and Beta launches will take place across select regions later this year with plans to roll out on most platforms and regions by the end of 2020.

He goes on to say that they have also added some new systems that preserve the core 5v5 gameplay that League fans are used to while adding a few twists that they believe will really shine on mobile and console.

Wild Rift is not a port of the PC Game but rather a game that has been rebuilt from scratch. Due to this, every single champion skin will not be available across all platforms however existing League of Legends players will receive rewards in Wild Rift.

With the popularity of mobile gaming and esports titles such as MLBB and PUBG Mobile in Asia, it wouldn't be surprising if Riot chooses to prioritize launching in these regions first.

During the 10th anniversary celebration, Riot also revealed a card battling game called Legends of Runeterra while confirming that they are bringing Team Fight Tactics to mobile as well. Riot Games is also working on a fighting game (temporarily dubbed “Project L”), a role playing game (“Project F”) and a tactical first person shooter (“Project A”). Finally, Riot also announced a League of Legends animated series called Arcane.
