Mobile game creator, Supercell has released their newest title, Rush Wars and it seems as if the creators have gone back to a style that initially made them a household name. Having made 5 massively popular titles, in Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, Boom Beach, Hay Day and Brawlstars, Supercell is one of the most recognized game developers in the mobile space and their titles have resulted in billions of dollars in revenue for the Finnish company.

In their latest release, a game known as Rush Wars, Supercell uses a tried and tested formula as the game feels like a combination of Clash of Clans and Boom Beach. Both titles played similarly in many ways as players owned and operated their own base and could mount attacks or raids on other player’s bases while having to defend their own. Rush Wars, plays similarly, with players having to maintain and organize their own base’s defence while having the option to attack other players. Much like CoC and Boom Beach, the game will be free to play and involve the ability to upgrade and level up using in-game resources which would have to be collected.

While the announcement in itself has some hype around it since it is a Supercell title, the fact that the gameplay is similar to two existing titles is a bit of a downer. While Clash of Clans and Boom Beach have had competitive scenes, they are nowhere as close as Brawlstars and Clash Royale, whole are pit players against each other in real-time.

The game is out on early release in Canada, Australia and New Zealand for now, but is expected to get a full release soon.
