The recently released 2022 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Squad Emotes have been removed in-game. These emotes offer unique voiceovers that can be used to taunt enemies while in-game. According to Moonton, the reason for the removal was due to their negative impact on matches. Players who bought the 2022 MPL Squad emotes shall be compensated. The emotes’ voiceovers will also be revamped before they are released once again to ensure they do not have a negative impact on players during matches. In the meantime, players won’t be able to purchase or use any of the 2022 MPL Squad emotes in the game.
2022 MPL Squad Emotes removed shortly after being released
One of the most highly anticipated sets of emotes have been removed shortly after their release. The 2022 MPL Squad emotes offered a wide variety of emotes featuring franchise teams and unique voiceovers. These voiceovers are mostly taunts made by pro players during previous seasons.
According to Moonton’s in-game mail, the voiceover of the “2022 MPL Squad Exclusive (90 Days) had a negative impact on chatting during matches.”
It also added that “MLBB is committed to providing a harmonious, relaxed, and friendly game environment. Therefore, we will immediately optimize the voiceover.”

Considering the voiceovers used in the emotes were taunts made by pro players during MPL tournaments, they could be used to spam and cause toxicity or inconvenience for other players.
To prevent further nefarious use of the emotes, Moonton has removed them for now. Players who purchased the 2022 MPL Squad emotes shall be compensated with a new emote. Additionally, players will also receive 25 Tickets, two Small Emblem Packs, and one hero trial pack (1 Day) in their in-game mail.
The 2022 MPL Squad emotes will be released again at a later date with new voiceovers. Hopefully, the revamped emotes will no longer cause any annoyance to players in between matches in MLBB.
