Mobile Legends Advanced Server Patch 1.8.24 added a plethora of new drafting phase features.
One of the most notable features to be added is the 10-hero ban system.
The new features are currently being tested and are only available on the Mobile Legends Advanced Server.

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang advanced server has unveiled a major upgrade for the ranked game mode. On the regular server, players can only ban a total of six heroes in the drafting phase for both teams in ranked games.  A 10-hero ban system may be implemented soon, adding more challenge for players. With more heroes getting banned, it may require players to have a much wider hero pool than before as most meta picks are likely to be banned. Aside from the highly anticipated 10-Hero Ban System in Mobile Legends, the advanced server also added a few new mechanics which will definitely give each team a lot more to consider when choosing heroes to use.

Mobile Legends Advanced Server Patch 1.8.24 unveils new draft pick changes

The Mobile Legends advanced server patch 1.8.24 shall deliver a much needed update to the game’s post and pre-match features. According to the patch notes, Moonton has added a few new features to be tested;

  • Added a pre-selection step, allowing players to communicate with their teammates before deciding on the position choices.

  • The hero banning session adopts the method of both sides banning at the same time. Both sides will blindly ban at the same time. Each side will ban 5 heroes, and both sides will ban a maximum of 10 heroes in total.

  • Added Quick Chat to cover the position selecting phase.

  • Automatically changes Battle Spell to "Retribution" when taking a Jungle position.

  • The positions on the mini-map are always visible, showing the player's current position choice and conflicts more clearly.

  • Can now like the performance shared by teammates.

  • Hero names are always visible on the hero list interface under any sorting option.

One of the most notable changes to the draft pick system is the 10-hero banning feature. Both teams will now select the heroes they wish to ban at the same time and they won’t see the opposing team’s banned heroes. This means, there can be repeated bans of the same heroes.

The pre-selection step will also allow teams to communicate with each other more effectively during the drafting phase. This way, everyone will have a chance to reveal what role they wish to play and prevent miscommunication.

Keep in mind that that drafting phase changes are only made available on the Mobile Legends advanced server. Moonton may implement a few changes to the features listed before they get released on the regular server.
