The expected release dates for all the major patch updates for Wild Rift have been updated by the devs. The schedule has also revealed that the current 2.X numbering system will be utilized at least until patch 2.6, the last Wild Rift patch update for 2021.

Here are the upcoming Wild Rift patch release dates;

  • Patch 2.1 - Feb 2, 2021

  • Patch 2.2 - March 20, 2021

  • Patch 2.3 - June 2, 2021

  • Patch 2.4 - July 28, 2021

  • Patch 2.5 - Oct 6, 2021

  • Patch 2.6 - Nov 19, 2021

According to the devs, the updated Wild Rift Patch Schedule does not include minor patch updates as these updates are unpredictable.

It is important to take note that once a patch releases, players are given a 24-hour grace period during which they can keep playing with other players who have updated their game. Once the 24-hour period is up, players will then be required to download the recent patch update and install the latest version to enter matchmaking.

The Wild Rift patch release dates listed above are still subject to change depending on the circumstances. However, the devs promised to stay on schedule and to warn players beforehand if changes may occur in the future.

With the updated Wild Rift patch release dates, players will now have an idea of when Riot Games will release major updates for the game. This will help players to plan beforehand and keep their game updated so they can jump straight into matchmaking without complications.
