Your trainer ID is randomly generated and it is a small mix of numbers and alphabets that you can use to identify an account. Finding your trainer ID in Pokemon Unite

If you want to find your trainer ID on your Nintendo Switch, you simply need to head to the home screen of the game and you can press the L button to view your personal trainer info. Once you are in your profile page, you will be able to find your trainer ID in Pokemon Unite. It is a seven-digit code with a mix of alphabets and numbers. You can give it to your friends and allow them to add you to play together.

How to use a trainer ID in Pokemon Unite

Did you receive a trainer ID in Pokemon Unite from your friends but you do not know how to add them? All you need to do is add them from the Friends menu using their trainer ID. Here’s how to access to the Friend’s menu and add friends in Pokemon Unite.

1. Launch Pokemon Unite

2. Press X to open the main menu

3. Click on Friends

4. Choose Friend Search and press X again

5. You will now be prompted to type your friend’s trainer ID

6. Enter the trainer ID to send a request

They will receive a notification and will be able to add you back. You can also add other players you match up with by clicking on their names after a match to see an add option.

How to automatically add Nintendo friends in Pokemon Unite

If you already have a bunch of friends on your Nintendo Online account, you will be able to add all of them automatically on Pokemon Unite. You do not need to use your trainer ID in Pokemon ID in this case. All you need to do is:

2. Press X to open the main menu

3. Click on Friends

4. Choose Friend Search and press Minus (-)

5. You will be able to turn on the Invite Friends option

Enabling it will allow your friends on your Nintendo Online account to invite you to play without needing to add them using your trainer ID in Pokemon Unite.
