How to Download Free Fire OB42 Update: Android and iOS Devices

Garena has released the Open Beta (OB) 42 update in Free Fire. The new update has brought about new modes, events, features and characters for the players. Players will be able to download the update from the Play Store on Android devices and the App Store on iOS devices.

The OB42 update has Free Fire fans excited as it introduces the new Winterlands theme on the map of Bermuda, the new Inglis character and many more events and rewards. Players can download the update from the respective stores on Android and iOS devices. 

Follow these steps to download the new Free Fire OB42 update on Android devices:

• Open the Play Store app.

• In the search bar, search for Free Fire.

• Click on the top most result and press the install or update button.

• After installing or updating the game players will have to login with a new Free Fire account.

• Players can now enjoy the new updates and features in the game.

Players using iOS devices are required to download the game as a whole compared to Android users who can opt to download just the update. The Android application will take 412 Megabytes (MB) of storage whereas the iOS application will take about 1.2 Gigabytes (GB) of storage. Players installing only the update on Android devices will require 195 MB of storage.

The new update has several new features such as the Winterlands themed map of Bermuda, character ability fixes to maintain balance in the game, Ignis the flame bearer character and much more.
