Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is set to return very soon and the game will receive some important updates for both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store versions of the game. Krafton announced the game’s return recently but it is not currently available.

Download BGMI via Google Play Store (2023)

The game is currently not available as the servers are offline and you will need to wait for the next update to play the game. Once the game is back online here's what you need to do:

  1. Head to the official BGMI Play Store link.

  2. Click on Install.

  3. Choose one of the compatible devices you want to install the game on, if prompted.

  4. Your device should start downloading the game immediately.

An official statement from KRAFTON says, “Currently, the closed test track for BGMI is updated. Those who opted for a public test for the game before its launch are expected to get a message which takes them to play store for downloading the game. However, the link wont work and the game cannot be downloaded as the servers have been shut."

Krafton also revealed that some other users who were not signed up for the closed test are also getting this message. This is a technical error and the developers are working on resolving the issue.

Players should also note that this is not a permanent comeback for the game yet. India's Union Minister of State for Entrepreneurship, Skill Development, Electronics & Technology Rajeev Chandrashekhar announced that the game will go through a three-month trial

The government will closely monitor and assess concerns related to "user harm and addiction" before making a final decision regarding the game’s future. Once the game goes live, players should follow all of the new rules in place and exercise control over in-game spending and playtime.
