After months of waiting, Pokémon UNITE is finally out on Android and iOS, following its launch on the Nintendo Switch earlier this year. When logging in, you will need to create a player name before you start playing the game and if you end up regretting your choice, you always have the option to change your name in Pokémon UNITE. The naming process is not permanent and you can change it whenever you want. However, there is a catch to it, and you will need to spend 100 Aeos Gems to do so. It is a premium currency that you need to pay for and 100 gems will set you back by roughly $2. How to get Aeos Gems in Pokémon UNITE to change your name
Aeos Gems are the premium currency in Pokémon Unite and they are different from Aeos Coins. The premium currency is required to purchase items that Aeos Coins and Aeos Tickets cannot buy. You will need 100 Aeos Gems to Purchase a rename card.

How to change your name in Pokémon UNITE
Once you have enough gems, here’s what you need to do to change your name in Pokémon UNITE:
From the main menu, head to the Shop Tab from the bottom selection bar.
Head to Aeos Emporium
In the Store Menu, open the Items Section
Scroll down until you find the Rename Card
Click on the item and follow the prompt to purchase it
From the Map View, tap the Main Menu.
At the top right, tap Settings.
Tap the Change Nickname menu option.
Once you have a Rename Card in your inventory, you will be able to change your name in Pokémon UNITE. It is a one time use item and you will lose it once you change your name so it is important to choose your name carefully before confirming the changes.
