Wild Rift Galio Guide
Skill Descriptions
Here is a quick rundown of his skills. Galio shines bright when his teammates got his back. Once he engages, there’s no going back, so Galio must rely on his team to follow up and start a team fight.
Passive: Colossal Smash
Enhances his next attack to deal AoE damage. It’s a pretty straightforward passive but quite powerful since it scales with both physical and magic damage.
1st Skill: Winds of War
Fires two windblasts that deal magic damage and leaves a tornado in the area of impact. The tornado damages enemies based on their maximum health. This is incredibly powerful against other tanks that build a lot of HP items.
2nd Skill: Shield of Durand
Passive: Every 12 seconds, upon taking damage, Galio gains a shield that absorbs magic damage equal to a percentage of his max health.
Active: Holding the skill allows Galio to take a defensive stance, slowing himself but taking reduced damage from enemy attacks. Releasing the skill will taunt nearby enemies for a few seconds. This is useful when you initiate a team fight. While you’re in the middle of it, a defensive stance can reduce the damage you receive, and releasing the skill will taunt enemies around you.
3rd Skill: Justice Punch
Dashes forward until Galio hits an enemy champion or terrain, dealing magic damage to enemies and knocking them up. Very useful in keeping enemies from escaping or playing with champions that can benefit from knock-ups like Yasuo.
Ultimate: Hero’s Entrance
Galio flies up and grants a shield to all allies within the targeted area. After a short delay, he crashes down to the targeted area, dealing magic damage to nearby enemies and knocking them up. This is your main engagement skill, save it in very crucial situations and never waste it just to kill someone.

Item Build
Galio needs a mix of magic damage and durability items to help him survive team fights.
Start building Rod of Ages so you can start stacking health from the item’s passive. You will also gain a bit of health back every time you use an ability that is useful as you will be trading blows in your lane most of the time.
Gluttonous Greaves is useful as it will allow you to regenerate health by dealing with damage to enemies. Be sure to upgrade it with Stasis Enchant for emergencies.
After the boots, purchase Infinity Orb for additional crit damage on your skills. You also don’t want enemies to be healing a lot, especially fighters like Olaf and Dr. Mundo, so you need to purchase Morellonomicon.
Once the late game starts, finish your build with Rabadon’s Deathcap to gain more magic damage, followed by Void Staff for magic penetration.
Galio isn’t your typical tank. He shines bright as an engage tank that can deal a decent amount of magic damage while disrupting team fights and soak up damage. Hopefully, this Wild Rift Galio Guide can help you master this tank champion in the game.
