GPX Ladies vs Alter Ego Nyx Break the Record for the Longest MLBB Esports Match

The Wonderful Indonesia Srikandi Championship (WISC) 2021 tournament opened its series with a new record for having the longest Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports match between the all-female teams GPX Ladies and Alter Ego Nyx. After an exhausting 56 minutes in the second match, GPX Ladies dominated Alter Ego Nyx ending the game with a clean sweep victory score of 2-0. The GPX Ladies vs Alter EGO Nyx match from the WISC 2021 surpassed the record from Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 5’s match between ONIC PH and Sterling Global Dragons (SGD) Omega, which lasted over 54 minutes.

The grueling second match between GPX Ladies and Alter EGO Nyx went on longer than expected

The WISC 2021 is an all-female esports event serving as the platform for women to showcase their skills within the esports scene. The event also served as a means for the encouragement and development of the tourism industry in Indonesia in the field of esports.

However, the tournament turned out to be more than just an esports match. The WISC 2021 broke the record of having the longest professional match in the history of Mobile Legends. This took place during the matchup between GPX Ladies and Alter Ego Nyx where the second match lasted 56 minutes. The match broke the previous record that the MPL PH Season 5 held where the matchup was between ONIC PH and SGD Omega, which lasted over 54 minutes.

Both teams fought with all their might with GPX Ladies securing the first win of the game. The second match was rife with intense team fights with each team duking it out to the best of their potential in an effort to suppress their opponent. These back and forth blows prolonged the match with Alter Ego Nyx trying their hardest to turn the tides.

The match reached the 54-minute mark where Alter Ego NYX almost closed the match with a straight push through the mid lane but GPX Ladies successfully defended its base and even crippled their opponents, leaving only one Alter Ego Nyx member to recall and defend their base.

GPX Ladies immediately ran down the mid-lane before the rest of the enemy team could respawn and sealed its 2-0 clean sweep victory.
