How to Refund in Roblox (2023)

At the time of writing, there is no way to get a refund in Roblox if you spend your Robux. However, if an item you receive is not the same as what was advertised, you can raise a complaint and Roblox Corporation will address your grievance. There are measures in place to prevent accidental purchases or lost purchases and we have listed them below as well to help you understand how transactions work on the gaming platform. Here is a quick rundown on how to get a refund in Roblox for incorrect items.

How to request a refund in Roblox 

1. Head to the Roblox support ticketing system

2. Explain the issue you have with your purchased item

3. Provide your username, item name, link to the item 

4. DO NOT provide any payment details like credit card information or bank information

You can request a refund only if the item that you purchased does not work in the way described. Roblox does not refund accidental purchases.

How to avoid accidental purchases in Roblox

As a helpful feature to prevent accidental purchases, Roblox has a pop-up window, asking you to confirm your selection before buying any items from the Avatar Shop and Experiences.

1. When you select the Buy button, you will see a pop-up message.

2. The pop-up window shows the item you're looking to purchase, the item's price and your Robux balance you'll have left over after the purchase.

3. Review the purchase confirmation window and decide if you want to finish buying the item.

4. Select 'Buy Now' if you would like to purchase the item.

Remember that you can also try out items like Avatars before purchasing them. This prevents any kind of buyer’s remorse. Here’s how you can try items in the Avatar Shop.

Web Browser

1. Click on Avatar Shop located in the gray bar at the top.

2. Find the item you're looking for. Select on the item you want to try on.

3. Click the Try On button. You can view the item on your avatar in 3D or 2D.

4. Click the Take Off if you like to take off the item from your avatar. 

Mobile App

1. Tap on your Avatar icon in the middle or 3 dots on the right side.

2. Tap the Shop icon or Catalog icon.

3. Find the item you're looking for and tap on the item you want to try on.

4. Your avatar will load with the item on.

5. Tap the item again to remove it from your avatar.

Xbox

1. Go to Avatar.

2. Press the Y button (Avatar Editor).

3. Go to Shop.

4. Press the A button on the item you want to try on.

5. Your avatar will load with the item on.

6. Press the A button again to remove the item from your avatar.

7. Press the Y button (Open Details) to view the item's description.
