In the version 1.2 update of Honkai: Star Rail, players encounter a new antagonist character known as Phantylia during the Desolate Depths of Despair Trailblaze mission. This character's involvement in the game's narrative has left players curious about her true identity and significance within the storyline.

Phantylia's initial appearance in the Echoes of War battle against the formidable Abundant Ebon Deer boss sets the stage for her role as a challenging opponent. Players must navigate through three phases of the battle, where Phantylia deploys Abundance and Destruction Lotuses to confront them.

The Shocking Reveal of Phantylia and her Boss Fight

As the storyline progresses in the Trailblaze Mission, the truth is unveiled. The Tingyun known to players in Honkai: Star Rail is not the real Tingyun, or at least not anymore. Instead, she is revealed to be the Antimatter Legion Lord Ravager Phantylia, the mastermind behind the Stellaron trouble in Xianzhou Luofu. The reveal is executed masterfully, with a powerful visual shot when she discards her mask, completely changing the tone of the story.

Unlocking the Phantylia Battle

To face Phantylia in combat, players must progress through the A Dragon Gallant, Its Ocean Distant Trailblaze Mission, the final main quest introduced in the 1.2 version. This marks the climactic battle of the current Xianzhou Luofu questline, making it a highly anticipated moment in the game.

Phantylia proves to be a formidable adversary, weak to Lightning, Wind, and Imaginary damage. Players should bring characters capable of quickly breaking her defenses to gain an advantage

Navigating the Phases

Phantylia's battle unfolds in three phases, accompanied by her Phantom Flowers. Players must swiftly eliminate these minions, as they can heal Phantylia and drain Skill Points. During the first and second phases, inflicting vulnerability debuffs on Phantylia is crucial, requiring players to bring down the Phantom Flowers swiftly.

In the second phase, Phantylia's attacks become more potent, while players gain access to the Cloudhymn Roar attack from Dan Heng, useful for dealing with additional minions. Players should focus on breaking Phantylia until she transitions to the next phase.

The third phase presents an added challenge, as Phantylia gains multiple extra turns in sequence. However, the Dan Heng gauge fills quicker, offering players the opportunity to bring her down. Maintaining relentless attacks is key to defeating Phantylia in this phase.

Players who emerge victorious against Phantylia in the story version will have the chance to challenge her again as an Echoes of War stage each week. Additionally, completing the Trailblaze Mission "A Dragon Gallant, Its Ocean Distant" yields various rewards, including the powerful Fire Trailblazer Eidolon.

Phantylia's presence in Honkai: Star Rail adds depth to the game's narrative and offers players a challenging and rewarding battle experience. As players continue to explore the mysteries of Xianzhou Luofu and its characters, Phantylia remains an enigma, making her a central figure in the storyline of Honkai: Star Rail.
