Blade’s Real Name in Honkai Star Rail: What we know so far
During the fifth Trailblazer Mission “Topclouded Towerthrust,” before confronting Phantylia, players can interact with ghost-looking bubbles which reveal that Blade’s real name may be Yingxing.
While the voice of Yingxing in the dialogues sounds more lively than the current voice lines of Blade, Dan Feng makes comments about this encounter, calling it a “Familiar Voice.” Based on the lore, the two were former friends but due to unfortunate circumstances, that friendship faded. While the two don’t consider each other as arch nemesis, Blade often mentions something to Dang Heng about “pay for our debt” which may be related to past events that ruined their relationship with each other.
Yingxing in Honkai Star Rail seems to be a researcher who specializes in technology, possibly relating to weapons. The name is also a reference to one of the most iconic scientists in China of the same name. Song Yingxing was a great scientist and encyclopedist during the Ming Dynasty.
HoYovese is yet to officially confirm if Yingxing is Blade’s real name in Honkai Star Rail so take this information with a grain of salt. Fans will have to keep their eyes peeled for more information in the future.
