Honkai: Star Rail is a gacha game that heavily relies on perfect team combinations and individual roles for each character in the game. With a huge roster of characters, which keeps growing with every major update, it can be difficult for players to keep track of which four-star character is good or bad.
So, after careful consideration and analysis, we’ve prepared the complete Honkai: Star Rail best-four characters tier list to help you.
Honkai: Star Rail – Four-Star Characters Tier List
Based on the meta in the game right now, these are the best four-star characters in Honkai: Star Rail –
SS Tier
Hanya – Not only does Hanya give your party some extra SP, but she also increases the ATK, DMG, and SPD of your DPS characters. The DMG Boost is permanent because all you need to do is burden your enemy.
Pela – She has some powerful abilities that can remove enemy buffs and even have Ice shred at E4. Her biggest draw is that she can reduce the DEF of all your enemies at the same time, and her Ice Weakness can be great in the current meta with Jingliu being a popular pick.
Tingyun – Tingyun is a Harmony character who can help massively buff other party members with the help of her Skill and Ultimate. She’s an incredible combo with a DPS.
S Tier
Qingque – There’s no doubt that Qingque has a lot of Gacha involved in her Skillset, but she is in a better position now. She can deal insane damage if you get lucky.
Asta – Asta is another Harmony character who can provide ATK and SPD boosts to your team if used correctly.
Lynx – Lynx stands as one of the best four-star abundance characters. She can constantly heal your characters when they get a turn and clean your entire team with the help of her ultimate.
Guinaifen – Guinaifen is a great support for Kafka and works amazingly due to the Firekiss effect. This can increase the DMG dealt to the enemy by all sources.
Luka – Luka is a perfect mix between damage-dealing and DoT characters, as his DoT can deal damage based on the enemy’s maximum health.
A Tier
Xueyi – Xueyi deals Quantum DMG to a single enemy and less DMG to adjacent enemies. Her Quantum DMG can deal with a single enemy, ignore their weak points, and reduce their tenacity.
March 7th – While she’s the first character you can unlock in the game, she is a decent shielding character, which is crucial for endgame content unless you have Gepard.
Yukong – Yukong is a special type of Harmony character, as she can buff your party member’s ATK, Crit DMG, and Crit Rate.
Serval – Serval is provided to every player for free with pre-registration rewards. The character can always keep enemies in a shocked state with her Technique and other special abilities.
Sampo – Sampo was an amazing character early in the game, but he lost his position due to the lackluster nature of DoT.
B Tier
Herta – Herta has a good kit and overall damage, but at times, she can feel weak. She doesn’t have anything for freezing enemies apart from Ice Weakness Break.
Natasha – While she’s one of the few healers in the game, she is not the strongest one in the current meta. However, she’s extremely valuable at the start of the game since you’ll find it difficult to keep your characters alive.
C Tier
Sushang – Sushang has the ability to take advantage of weakness broken enemies and deal massive damage to opponents repeatedly.
Hook – We don’t have a lot of viable Fire DPS units in the game, and this is where Hook shines. This character can deal good damage while self-sustaining with Traces.
D Tier
Dan Heng – Dan Heng is one of the first characters in the game you can pick up for free after Trailblazer wakes up. He deals good single-target damage with his Skill and Ultimate.
Arlan – Arlan is a perfect example of a character who could be better when the game’s meta shakes up again. Currently, he suffers from a lack of self-sustenance.
