Honkai Star Rail 2.0 Sam in-game boss leaks
Through a Reddit post, the next major boss in the Honkai Star Rail 2.0 update has been unveiled to be Sam, one of the Stellaron Hunters. According to the post, he is a “non-weekly boss with the highest HP.”
The post compared Sam’s HP to 3.6 times of the Kafka in-game boss’ HP. However, his other variant has a higher HP value of 5.2 times Kafka’s HP.
According to the data provided in Homdgcat Wiki the standard Level 95 Stellaron Hunter: Sam has a 1,369,061 total HP. In comparison, the in-game boss Stellaron Hunter: Kafka has 383,337 HP value.
Sam in-game boss abilities
Aside from the HP comparison, the leaks also mentioned Sam’s abilities as an in-game boss.
One of his abilities is called “Incomplete Combustion” that consumes a portion of his own HP to gain various buffs including Weakness Protection, and increased SPD. However, all of his attacks will now also consume HP.
He can also enter a Secondary Combustion state where he gains 5 Molten Energy stacks and causes the player to have Combusted Skill Points that will reduce a character's HP when consuming Skill Points. The healing effect will also be reduced by 90% but this only applies to healing other people and does not affect self-healing.
Players can deplete Sam’s Molten Energy stacks by consuming the Combusted Skill Points. When all 5 stacks get removed, the Secondary Combustion state gets dispelled and Sam receives 50% increased DMG and recovers Skill Points for the party.
The Secondary Combustion, Molten Core stacks, and Weakness Protection that Sam gains cannot be removed by characters like Pela.
Players should keep in mind that the Honkai Star Rail 2.0 leaks of Sam as an in-game boss does not necessarily reflect the final version of the content to be released. This information should be taken with a grain of salt.
