As the echoes of version 1.5 fade, players are all too eager to welcome new characters and their stories into the fray. There are two main ways to redeem your Honkai: Star Rail codes. Here's what you need to do to redeem in-game:

2. Open the phone menu.

3. Click on the three dots to the right of your character portrait.

4. Select the redemption code option.

5. Enter your code and redeem.

6. Head to your mailbox in the top right to claim your rewards.

Honkai Star Rail 1.6 Livestream Highlights

1. Brand New Characters - The Livestream treated viewers to an exclusive glimpse into the abilities and kits of the upcoming characters: Ruan Mei, Dr. Ratio, and Xueyi. Ruan Mei, with mastery over the Ice element on the Path of Harmony, is set to headline the first half of the update, while Dr. Ratio, wielding the Imaginary element and navigating the Path of The Hunt, takes the spotlight in the second half.

2. FREE DR. RATIO!! - Hoyoverse has quelled all claims of other games wanting to be the 'Genshin Killer' and have done it themselves with Honkai Star Rail. From the start of Dr. Ratio's banner to the end of Version 2.1, players will be able to obtain a free copy of the character. This is the first time Hoyoverse has given a free Five star character for free, let alone a limited one.

3. New Events - Events are the heartbeat of engaging gameplay, and version 1.6 promises a dynamic lineup. As confirmed in the Livestream, players can dive into events like Pure Fiction and Simulated Universe: Gold and Gears. These events not only offer exciting gameplay but also present opportunities to earn Stellar Jades and Star Rail Special Passes.

4. Brand New Trailblaze Mission - With version 1.5's Trailblaze Mission reaching its climax, the Livestream unveiled a brand-new story quest for version 1.6. While the specifics of the mission were not fully disclosed, it is expected to involve Ruan Mei and Dr. Ratio, providing players with a sneak peek into the newly introduced characters and, perhaps, a glimpse of the mysterious region, Penacony, which is to be the next destination for the Trailblazers.

5. New Companion Missions - Companion Missions, a staple in the story of Honkai Star Rail, follow the introduction of new characters. The Livestream confirmed the tradition by hinting at a Companion Mission tied to one of the newly introduced characters. This feature allows players to have a deeper look into the backgrounds of the characters, to find out more about their personalities, motivations, and background.
