Honkai Star Rail 1.4: Topaz Release Date, Abilities, Eidolons

Topaz is a 5-star Fire character who is set to arrive in patch 1.4. Unlike Dan Heng, Seele or Sushang, Topaz has a very different playstyle with the character being able to bring summons into battle. This is the first time in Honkai Star Rail that we are getting a character with a summoner playstyle. Topaz treads on the Path of the Hunt and calls upon Trotters to fight by your side. She is expected to arrive in Honkai Star Rail’s 1.4 update. Here’s what we know about Topaz’s release date, abilities and eidolons.

Who is Topaz in Honkai Star Rail?

Unlike a lot of other upcoming characters, we do not know much about Topaz. She is featured in the Light Cone “Trend of the Universal Market” but we have not interacted with her in the game’s storyline yet. 

When will Topaz release in Honkai Star Rail?

Topaz is expected to arrive in the second-half of Honkai Star Rail’s patch 1.4, which should be around 1st November.

Honkai Star Rail 1.4: Topaz Abilities

Basic Attack: Deals Fire DMG equal to % of Topaz’s ATK to a single enemy target.

Skill: Summons her special pet Warp Trotter to deal Fire DMG to a single enemy, with a 100% chance to inflict burn status for 2 turns. While under Burn status, the enemy takes fire damage at the start of each round.

Warp Trotter Skill: Select an enemy to perform a special attack.

Ultimate: Enhances the summoned Warp Trotter by increasing its Critical Rate for the next 2 attacks, dealing additional Fire DMG, and increasing its speed by 100 points for 2 rounds.

Talent: At the start of the battle, summons her pet with 90 speed. When Topaz uses a skill to target an enemy, the creature targets that enemy (if possible; otherwise targets a random enemy). When the creature attacks, it deals Fire DMG and recovers 15 energy if the target is Burned.

Technique: After using her technique, the creature is released from bondage at the start of the next battle, and after taking one turn, returns to bondage status.

Honkai Star Rail1.4: Topaz Eidolons

Going for Eidolons is not recommended if you are a free-to-play player and her early Eidolons are not as impactful. If you are looking to get the most out of her, you may want to go for Topaz’s light cone instead.

Level 1 – Incentive Mechanism: After using Ultimate, Zhang Zhang gains 1 extra attack in the [Astonishing Increase] state.

Level 2 – Steady Growth: When the enemy target under [Attack Mark] receives a follow-up attack, strengthen the effects of [Attack Mark]. Follow-up attacks against enemies under Strengthened [Attack Mark] has ?% increased Crit DMG, this effect can stack max ? times.

Level 3 – Catch Big, Release Small: Skill Lv. +2, up to maximum Lv. 15 and Basic ATK Lv. +1, up to a maximum Lv. 10.

Level 4 – Agile Processing: When Zhang Zhang’s own turn begins, Topaz’s actions are brought forward by ?%.

Level 5 – Need for Inflation: Ultimate Lv. +2, up to maximum Lv. 15 and Talent Lv. +2, up to maximum Lv. 15.

Level 6 – Friendly Takeover: When Zhang Zhang is under the [Astonishing Increase] state, its Fire RES PEN increases by ?%. Under this state, when Topaz uses her skill and Zhang Zhang attacks, there is a ?% base chance to refund the skill point.
