Honkai Star Rail's latest update, version 1.6, has introduced a new game-changing item - Tears of Dreams. This new currency not only enhances the quality of life in the game but also plays a crucial role in character ascensions. In this comprehensive guide, we will explore the ins and outs of Tears of Dreams, from acquiring them to optimizing their use.

Honkai Star Rail: Tears of Dreams Overview:

Tears of Dreams serve as a valuable currency introduced in Honkai Star Rail 1.6, contributing to the game's quality-of-life improvements. Initially, players receive a taste of this currency through an in-game email, allowing them to grasp its functionality. But the majority of Tears can be obtained through the Nameless Honor Battle Pass's paid track.

Acquiring Tears of Dreams:

The primary source of Tears of Dreams is the Nameless Honor Battle Pass's paid track, accompanied by the Herta Contract Resource Supply V2. This resource supply offers 150 Tears and can be purchased up to six times per update. The Battle Pass, on the other hand, provides Tears at specific levels:

  • Level 15: 24 Tears

  • Level 20: 24 Tears

  • Level 25: 24 Tears

  • Level 35: 24 Tears

  • Level 40: 72 Tears

  • Level 45: 72 Tears

  • Level 50: 72 Tears

In total, players can get 316 Tears from the Battle Pass, enabling them to rush character ascensions and progression.

Utilizing Tears of Dreams:

The primary purpose of Tears of Dreams is to ease character ascensions by exchanging them for missing Path materials. When a player lacks specific materials required for ascension, Tears of Dreams can be used to bridge the gap. The substitution ratio varies based on the rarity of the needed materials.

It's essential to note that Tears of Dreams can be prompted for use only when players lack materials of a certain tier. If you already have lower-tier materials for a particular Path, the prompt to use Tears will not appear. In such cases, synthesizing materials to the desired rarity becomes the alternative.

Tips for Efficient Use:

To optimize the use of Tears of Dreams, players should be attentive to the in-game prompts that suggest exchanging the Tears for missing Path materials. But if no prompt appears, it indicates that the player already possesses the same Path materials of a lower tier. In such cases, synthesizing the materials to the desired rarity becomes the sole alternative.
