Jing Liu in Honkai Star Rail has been released to overwhelmingly positive feedback from players. The latest Ice-Destruction character rose to the meta as one of the highest damage in the game with a lot of players arguing on which Relics fit her the most. Most players may be equipping Jingliu in Honkai Star Rail with the 4-piece Hunter of Glacial Forest Set. However, what players may not know is that the Genius of the Brilliant Stars set, a relic made for Quantum characters, can also be quite viable for her. Here are 3 reasons why the 4-piece Quantum Relic may be better than the 4-piece Ice set for Jingliu in Honkai Star Rail.

Why the Genius of the Brilliant Stars Relic set is good for Jingliu

1. Debuffs on enemies is better than damage buff for Jingliu

While it is widely acknowledged that increasing damage buffs leads to higher damage output, Jingliu possesses already substantial damage multipliers through her Traces.

With the 4-piece effect from Genius of the Brilliant Stars set, Jingliu can bypass 10% of an enemy's defense, and an additional 10% if they have Quantum weakness. Given the prevalence of Quantum-weak foes in the game, this effect can often be consistently maximized. By including Pela and Silverwolf in your party, you can apply significant defense reduction debuffs to your enemies, enabling Jingliu to unleash massive damage.

2. Ultimate will not be buffed with a 4-piece Ice Set

The Critical Damage (CRT DMG) buff granted by the Hunter of Glacial Forest Set only becomes active after triggering her Ultimate ability, meaning that it won't enhance the damage dealt by her Ultimate itself.

While the 2-piece effect of the Genius of the Brilliant Star relic is not useful for Jingliu, the 4-piece effect compensates it by providing a massive defense reduction on her attacks.

3. No One Likes Eagle of Twilight Line Relic set

When farming Relics, players will need to consider how useful the loot is. Clearing the Path of the Gelid Wind has a chance to drop one or more pieces from the Hunter of Glacial Forest Set. However, the domain may also drop the Eagle of Twilight Line set, which is one of the least useful relics in the game since the release of the Messenger Traversing Hackerspace Relic.

The Path of Providence, on the other hand, where you can acquire the Genius of the Brilliant Stars set, players can also acquire the Guard of Wuthering Snow, a set that can be used on multiple Preservation characters like Fu Xuan, Trailblazer (Fire) and Gepard. This means it is more efficient to farm for the 4-piece Quantum set.
