Dottore, also known as Il Dottore and Zandik, is the Second of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers, the highest-ranking executive officers of the Fatui in Genshin Impact. He is a mad scientist who is obsessed with conducting unethical experiments on humans and other living creatures. He is also a former resident of Sumeru and former student of the Akademiya academy, but he was expelled for his heretical studies.

Dottore is a tall and thin man with pale skin, red eyes, and wavy light-blue hair. He wears a long black coat with a high collar and a wide-brimmed hat that obscures his face. He is often seen carrying a cane with a skull-shaped handle.
Dottore is a brilliant scientist with a vast knowledge of the human body and other living creatures. He is also a master of alchemy and engineering. He uses his knowledge and skills to conduct horrific experiments on humans and other living creatures, often with fatal results. He is also known for his sadistic personality and his disregard for human life.
Dottore is one of the major antagonists in Genshin Impact. He is first mentioned in the manga, where he is depicted as a diplomat to Mondstadt. He makes his in-game debut in the Archon Quest Chapter III, Act III, where he is revealed to be working with the sages of Sumeru Akademiya. He is also a playable character in the upcoming Genshin Impact version 2.8.
After the Traveler and Nahida defeated Scaramouche in Sumeru’s storyline, a segment of Dottore confronts Nahida, using a special sound wave to put the Traveler and Paimon to sleep. He then negotiates with her, acquiring Ei's Electro Gnosis in return for destroying the other segments, with some being uncaring while others swore revenge. He also negotiated for her own Dendro Gnosis, after giving her information that the stars and skies were a "lie" before returning to the Tsaritsa.
