Genshin Impact’s 4.0 update introduced a new 5-star bow, The First Great Magic.  This bow is Lyney's signature weapon, making it ideal for him, but it can also benefit other characters. With Lyney’s first rerun coming with the release of Genshin Impact’s Version 4.6 on 24 April, players will soon have the chance to pull for this weapon. Here's everything you need to know about The First Great Magic, including its stats, abilities, ascension materials, and the best characters to use it.

The First Great Magic Stats and Abilities

The First Great Magic has a Base ATK of 608 at level 90, making it one of the highest among bows. Its secondary stat is a remarkable 66.2% CRIT DMG, making it ideal for characters who rely on critical hits for damage. The bow's skill increases Charged Attack DMG by 16% and provides additional buffs based on the elemental composition of your party.

For every party member with the same Elemental Type as the wielder, they gain 1 Gimmick stack. For every party member with a different Elemental Type from the wielder, they gain 1 Theatrics stack. When the wielder has 1/2/3 or more Gimmick stacks, their ATK will be increased by 16%/32%/48%. When the wielder has 1/2/3 or more Theatrics stacks, their Movement SPD will be increased by 4%/7%/10%.

Best Characters to Use The First Great Magic

  1. Lyney: As the signature weapon of Lyney, The First Great Magic is tailor-made for him. Its stats and effects complement his Pyro DPS playstyle, making it the ideal weapon for him.

  2. Ganyu: Ganyu's charged shots are her primary source of damage, making The First Great Magic an excellent choice for her. The bow's ATK and CRIT DMG bonuses significantly boost her overall damage output.

  3. Tighnari: Tighnari, a Dendro Bow DPS character, can also benefit greatly from The First Great Magic. The bow's buffs synergize well with Tighnari's playstyle, making it a strong choice for him.

  4. Childe: While the Charged Attack DMG bonus may not be useful for Childe, The First Great Magic still provides him with a substantial ATK% bonus, CRIT DMG, and increased movement speed, making it a viable option for him.
