Chiori was recently introduced to players by Hoyoverse in the trailer for Version 4.3 of Genshin Impact. The owner of Chiyoria Boutique in Fontaine, originally from Inazume, was part of the cast on Furina’s movie set. Soon after the Special Program Livestream for version 4.3, the official Japanese X (formerly Twitter) account revealed the Japanese Voice Actor who would be portraying Chiori and bringing the character to life. Voiced by none other than the illustrious and seasoned veteran Ayana Taketatsu, players are eagerly awaiting what Ayana can bring to her introduction into the cast of Genshin Impact.

Chiori's Debut and Affiliation

Chiori first appeared in the Genshin Impact 4.3 teaser, where she was seen on Furina's movie set and the official cover art. Despite her origins in Inazuma, Chiori is associated with Chioriya Boutique in Fontaine. According to in-game narrative entries, she is the creative designer responsible for Kirara, Lyney, Lynette, and Navia's costumes.

Chiori's Japanese Voice Actor - Ayana Taketatsu

The Japanese dub of Chiori will feature the renowned Ayana Taketatsu, as confirmed by the official Japanese Twitter account of Genshin Impact. Taketatsu, a veteran in the Japanese Seiyuu industry, boasts an impressive list of roles in both anime and video games.

Some of Ayana Taketatsu's notable works include Nino Nakano in The Quintessential Quintuplets, Azusa Nakano in K-On!, and Koneko Toujou in High School DxD.

Speculations and Leaks Regarding Chiori’s Playability

While players await Chiori's potential as a playable character, leaks indicate she may join the roster in Genshin Impact 4.5. However, predictions via leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, as release dates are prone to change. The leaks also suggest that Chiori is a Geo user.

Chiori's English, Korean, and Chinese voice actors are currently unknown, and the community eagerly awaits additional announcements.

Chiori and Chevreuse in Version 4.3

While Chiori's official playable character release date is still unknown, players can see her in Version 4.3 during a flagship event that also features Ayato and Kamisato Ayaka. Along with the introduction of Chiori, version 4.3 will also feature Chevreuse, the captain of Fontaine's specialized security and surveillance patrol. In the second part of the update, Chevreuse—voiced in Japanese by Shino Shimoji and in English by Erica Lindbeck—will be available for players to wish for. Fans are excited to see Shimoji, who is well-known for playing a variety of characters in anime and gacha games.
