The Catch in Genshin Impact is a polearm weapon and is one of the best free-to-play options for certain characters such as Raiden Shogun and Xiangling. Its stats are perfectly tailored for these characters with it having a 46% ER (Energy Recharge) stat at level 90, and it's passive, which is the main star of the show. The Catch’s passive increases Elemental Burst DMG by 16% and Elemental Burst CRIT Rate by 6% at base refine level and is further increased to 32% and 12% respectively at Refine level Five. This makes it especially useful for players who do not own the Engulfing Lightning polearm which is the Five Star premium alternative.

Players can obtain The Catch via the game’s fishing mechanic which is available to players after a certain amount of progression in the game. Players are required to have completed the following things to unlock the fishing minigame:

Genshin Impact has fishing spots across all of its regions but The Catch is only available for purchase from the Inazuma Fishing Association’s Kujirai Momiji and the requirements for getting it are as follows:
6 Raimei Angelfish (Found from 18:00-06:00)
20 Golden Koi (Found at all times)
20 Rusty Koi (Found at all times)
Players can also purchase up to four of the Refinement materials for The Catch from the same location which also has a different set of requirements as follows:
3 Raimei Angelfish
10 Pufferfish (Found at all times)
10 Bitter Pufferfish (Found at all times)
These fishes can be found in different fishing spots across the three regions of Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma. And in the case of the Raimei Angelfish, it can only be found in the specific time period of 18:00-06:00. The upgrade materials to ascend The Catch include the Mask materials from the Inazuma Weapon Ascension domain, Spectral hearts/husk/neuclei dropped by defeating Spectres, Chaos materials dropped by defeating Ruin Sentinels, and of course, weapon XP materials and Mora.
The Catch still remains to be a premier free-to-play weapon option for the Raiden Shogun even after all the patches following her release and all the other weapons that have been introduced since then. It appears to have been tailor-made for some burst-oriented characters such as the Raiden Shogun and Xiangling.
