Part of the world quests of the area, the Sorush pet is an invaluable tool for players to explore with. If you missed it during its initial release or are a new player, worry not because you can still get this adorable companion. Here's how you can get Sorush in Genshin Impact.
Obtaining Sorush: The Splendorous Sky That Day Quest
Getting Sorush is part of the "The Splendorous Sky That Day" World Quest, part of the larger "Khvarena of Good and Evil" series introduced in version 3.6. To start the quest, head to the Girdle of the Sands region in Sumeru and locate the Teleport Waypoint southwest of Gavireh Lajavard. Nearby, you'll find a small drum, triggering the start of the quest.
Continue the questline, following the story and completing assignments with characters like Katheryne and Nasejuna. After interacting with Nasejuna, Sorush will be added to your inventory. Keep progressing through the World Quest series to unlock more abilities and unlock Sorush's potential.

Equipping and Using Sorush
Once Sorush is in your possession, open your inventory and equip it as a gadget. This will allow you to control Sorush and replace your character for exploration within the Girdle of the Sands. Sorush's flying ability becomes invaluable for reaching heights and locations that are otherwise inaccessible to your playable characters.
Sorush's interactions are not limited to traversal. It serves a crucial role in solving puzzles, finding hidden secrets, and aiding in various quests unique to the region.
Unlocking Sorush's Abilities
As you progress through the "Khvarena of Good and Evil" questline, Sorush gains the Twin-Horned Chaplet upgrade. This increases Sorush's abilities and enables it to dispel Amrita Seals, reposition Special Four-Leaf Sigils, and purify the Flowers of Tishtrya. The upgrade is obtained during the "As the Khvarena's Light Shows" quest.
Using Sorush: Abilities and Applications
Equipping Sorush is done through the inventory menu, treating the Pari as both a pet and a gadget. Once equipped, players can experience a range of abilities that Sorush brings to the table:
Flight: Sorush replaces the player character, allowing them to soar through the skies within the Girdle of the Sands area.
Puzzle-solving: Sorush can reveal hidden puzzles, floating orbs, and mechanisms that are otherwise invisible, aiding players in overcoming obstacles.
Amrita Seal Dispelling: Upgraded with the Twin-Horned Chaplet, Sorush can temporarily dispel Amrita Seals, allowing players to progress through the questline.
Special Four-Leaf Sigil Repositioning: Using the might of Khvarena, Sorush can move Special Four-Leaf Sigils to solve puzzles and unlock new areas.
Collecting Great Songs of Khvarena: In the quest "As the Khvarena's Light Shows," Sorush gains the ability to collect the Great Songs of Khvarena, essential for quest progression.
Defiled Beacon Purification: When faced with Defiled Beacons, players can use Sorush to purify them.
Unlocking Flower Puzzles and More: Sorush can unlock and interact with various elements, including Udumbara flowers, Nirodha Fruits, and more.
It's important to note that Sorush's abilities only work the Girdle of the Sands area, and players cannot use them outside this region.
