Honkai Star Rail: All Genshin Impact References You Need to Know About

Cover-Credits:
HoYoverse's new turn-based RPG, Honkai Star Rail, has been a smash hit with millions of players around the world. The Honkai franchise takes a step away from the Genshin Impact series and tells a new story.
Players encounter surprising movie, TV, and video game easter eggs and references during the storytelling. Some of the most obvious references in Honkai Star Rail nod to HoYoverse's other open-world RPG, Genshin Impact. So, we've prepared a list of all the Genshin Impact references in Honkai Star Rail that players need to know about.
Honkai Star Rail: Genshin Impact References
Timmie and Pigeons Reference
An NPC in Genshin Impact named Timmie can always be seen feeding pigeons in Mondastadt. He's pretty similar to the child described in the text above, but it's important to remember that Natasha's list in Honkai Star Rail states 'Timmy,' not 'Timmie.'
Unfortunately for Timmy, unlike his Impact counterpart, no birds can be seen. If you're someone who hasn't played the old titles, you might end up easily skipping past this reference since it looks like a random aspect of world-building. Players usually tend to skip Natasha's list without putting much thought into it.
Wings of First Flight Reference
Wings of First Flight is the first glider that Genshin Impact players can get; every Traveler can recall this. Obviously, you can choose a different glider skin if you want to, but it's important to note that every Impact player has Wings of First Flight.
Honkai Star Rail directly refers to the Wings of First Flight with its exact design. If you interact with the display featuring this glider, you will get references to Genshin Impact's Mondstadt and the Traveler's story. In the same room with the wind glider, there's also a broken Himo's sword, a reference to Honkai Impact 3rd.
"How about we explore the area ahead of us later?" Reference
This Genshin Impact reference has been present in Honkai Star Rail since its beta launch. If you don't know what we're talking about, if a player tries to interact with a Blockade line in Honkai Star Rail, they get the following message:
"For some reason, a sweet female voice pops into your head: "How about we explore the area ahead of us later?"
That's a reference from Impact, which refers to Paimon telling players the exact same sentence when they attempt to go outside the boundary of the game.
And that's every Genshin Impact reference in Honkai Star Rail you need to know about. Be sure to follow us for more Honkai Star: Rail news and guides.
