Highlights
Wriothesley will possibly be a 5-star Cryo character featured in the banner alongside Neuvillette as part of the Genshin Impact 4.1 update.
Patch 4.1 is rumored to drop on 27th September but there is no official release date for Wriothesley.

Genshin Impact’s next 4.1 patch is confirmed to feature Neuvillette and Wriothesley who add to the already impressive roster of unique and distinctive characters. Wriothesley will supposedly be a standard banner character to stand beside Neuvillette. This boosted 5-star Cryo character is the Lord of the Fortress of Meropide, who is also given the title of the Emissary of Solitary Inquity. If you are considering acquiring him and you would like to pre-farm all the necessary materials, you have come across the right article. Let’s take a look at the requirements.

Pre-farming Materials Required for Wriothesley

Considering the fact that Wriothesley will be part of the game from the 4.1 update, a few materials required to maximize him are also locked behind it. At the time of writing, there is no specified release date for this character. Here are all the necessary materials:

Ascension Materials

  • x1 Shivada Jade Sliver

  • x6 Shivada Jade Gemstone

  • x9 Shivada Jade Fragment

  • x9 Shivada Jade Chunk

  • x18 Meshing Gear

  • x30 Mechanical Spur Gear

  • x36 Artificed Dynamic Gear

  • x46 Tubion Device

  • x168 Subdetection Unit

  • 420,000 Mora

Talent Materials

  • x3 Crown of Insight

  • x9 Teachings of Order

  • x18 Meshing Gear

  • x18 Primordial Greenbloom

  • x63 Guide to Order

  • x66 Mechanical Spur Gear

  • x93 Artificed Dynamic Gear

  • x114 Philosophies of Order

  • 4,957,500 Mora

Ascension materials are required if you wish to upgrade his health, attack, defense, and critical hit effectiveness which increases his overall level. Talent materials, on the other hand, are used to level up his skillset. The requirements for these materials will differ from character to character.

Where Can You Find These Materials?

Shivada Jade can be acquired by defeating bosses such as Cryo Regisvine or Cryo Hypostasis. You can also get them off weekly bosses such as Childe, Andrius, and La Signora. They can also be farmed from field bosses as they can spawn repeatedly. Remember to use Original Resin to collect drops from bosses.

Meshing Gear, Mechanical Spur Gear, and Artificial Dynamic Gear can be obtained from the Clockwork Meka who are the new common enemy types found around Fontaine. Being the most basic enemies you can definitely find an abundance of them just by traversing through the area.

Subdetection units will arguably be the local specialty in Fontaine which will be used for crafting, gardening, and ascension of characters. However, they are tied to patch 4.1 and will only be available after its release.

The Order Talent Book which offers Teachings of Order, Guide to Order, and Philosophies of Order can be found in the Pale Forgotten Glory Domain. It is situated underwater to the south of Fontaine’s Salacia Plain.

Keep in mind that this information mentioned above is based on speculation and data received from several unofficial sources. There is no official information available at the time of writing so these requirements might change as we get close to the release of the next update.
