The "Were It So Easy" quest in Genshin Impact is a two-part World Quest set in the picturesque Merusea Village, located in the Beryl Region of Fontaine. However, this quest does not appear on your map or in your quest log, making it a hidden quest in the game. To start this quest, you need to head to Merusea Village and seek out a Melusine NPC named Cosanzeana.  In this guide, we'll take you through the steps to unlock this hidden quest, from its location to the actions you need to complete for those juicy Primogems and other in-game rewards.

The Hidden "Were It So Easy" Quest

The "Were It So Easy" quest takes place in Elynas' Merusea Village, nestled within the Beryl Region of Fontaine. It's a relatively short and straightforward quest, but, unfortunately, Genshin Impact doesn't provide a map marker for it, making it a hidden quest waiting to be discovered. To commence this quest, you'll need to head over to Merusea Village and seek out the enigmatic Melusine NPC named Cosanzeana.

Part One: Planting the Seeds of Hope

Cosanzeana can be found near the teleport waypoint just outside Merusea Village. Upon interacting with her, a cutscene will trigger in which she reveals her struggle to cultivate a flourishing flower garden. In response, you and Paimon suggest different types of flowers she could plant:

  • Windwheel Asters

  • Silk Flowers

  • Naku Weeds

  • Sumeru Roses

Your choice of flower won't affect the quest's outcome, but it will be prominently displayed at the entrance of Merusea Village, so select the one that appeals most to your aesthetic sensibilities.

The next step is to water the chosen flower using Hydro, an elemental ability in the game. You might think the quest is complete at this point, but there's a second part yet to unravel.

Part Two: Unraveling the Mystery

For the second part of the "Were It So Easy" World Quest, you'll need to teleport outside Merusea Village and then return. This time, you'll find Cosanzeana standing in front of her house with a quest marker above her head. Speak with her, and then proceed to the flower garden to investigate.

As you venture toward the garden, you'll face off against a formidable foe known as the Breacher Primus. Defeat this enemy and interact with Cosanzeana once more. It appears that someone or something has marred her flower garden, and your task is to find clues that will lead to the perpetrator. You'll see several shining spots in the garden, but you only need to investigate the one marked on your map.

Upon defeating the enemy hidden at the marked spot, a final cutscene will unfold, bringing "Were It So Easy" to a close.

Quest Rewards

Completing both parts of the "Were It So Easy" World Quest will shower you with a bevy of rewards. In the first half of the quest, you'll receive:

  • Primogems x20

  • Mora x11,000

  • Strange Part x1

In the second half, your efforts will be rewarded with:

  • Primogems x20

  • Tidalga x8

  • Mora x26,500

The Strange Part is a valuable currency within the Melusines, which you can use in the "Mamere’s Ancient Colors" quest in Genshin Impact to save Seymour. Moreover, you'll have the option to spend any remaining Strange Parts at the Melusine merchant, Xana.
