Genshin Impact's latest update, version 4.1, brings a slew of exciting new content for players to dive into. Among the many things introduced in the 4.1 update is the "Road to the Singularity," quest which takes players on a journey beneath the New Fontaine Research Institute. In this comprehensive guide, we'll walk you through the quest's intricacies and help you navigate its puzzles and obstacles
Road to the Singularity Quest Initiation and Location
This quest begins with no prerequisites, so there's no need to complete any other quests to access it. To initiate your journey, teleport to the waypoint northeast of the Millenial Pearl Seahorse and head northeast toward a cave entrance. Inside the cave, you'll encounter a Pneuma Terminal. To activate it, use either an Ousia Block or your Ousia character, which will open the lift, and you'll automatically receive the Road to the Singularity quest.
Rescuing the Trapped NPC
Upon exiting the lift, your quest will lead you to a trapped NPC inside a cage. To free them, you'll need to solve a puzzle involving Energy Transfer Terminals. Here's a step-by-step guide:
Activate the terminal near the cage.
Absorb energy from the Energy Storage Device.
Scan the red button on top of the huge gate.
Transfer the energy to the Energy Device beside the cage.
After helping Kuisel, the caged NPC, you'll find yourself locked in the cage. Paimon will come to your rescue. Select the following dialogue options in order:
Try the terminal by the cage.
Activate the energy storage device by the door.
Activate the energy storage device by the cage.
This sequence will open your cage, allowing you to continue the quest.
Exploring Deeper
Now that you're free, delve further into the mysterious building. Your path will lead you to another locked door, which you can unlock by shutting off all the valves. Here's how to do it:
Find the first valve at the top platform and turn it twice to stop the gas leak.
The second and third valves are on a middle platform. Turn the second valve twice and the third valve once to stop the leaks.
The fourth valve is locked in a cage. To unlock it, use an energy cell from an Ousia statue. Attack the statue with Pneuma to retrieve the energy cell. Place the cell near the cage, pick up the valve, and use it on a nearby pipe with gas leakage. Turn it thrice to complete this puzzle.
Defeating Clockwork Meka
After opening the door, you'll face Clockwork Meka enemies. Defeat them and use the lift to access the next area.
Solving Gear Puzzles
In the next area, you'll encounter a Gear Puzzle and another sealed door. Here's how to solve it:
For the Terminal closer to the door, choose "Move" once and then "Rotate" once.
For the Terminal farther from the door, choose "Rotate" twice, "Move" once, and then "Rotate" three times.
Completing this puzzle will allow you to continue your exploration.
As you progress, you'll face more Clockwork Meka and another locked door. Solve the puzzle in this area to advance.
Meeting the Final Boss
Finally, you'll reach the last boss, Kuisel Coutrot. Defeat him to complete the quest, unlock a hidden achievement, and spawn a Luxurious Chest.
